Studio Cogliolo was created at the beginning of the 1970’s on the initiative of Ornella Cogliolo with the chief aim of dealing with New Music. In this field, it has collaborated with Sylvano Bussotti, Paolo Renosto, Marcello Panni, Giacinto Scelsi . Moreover, it has taken part in the organisation of various contemporary music concerts . Later on, the Studio started to represent young musicians, chamber music groups, soloists and orchestra directors, always paying attention to today’s music. An important experience has been, and continues to be, the organisation of Italian tours for some important symphonic orchestras: Philharmonia Orchestra with Giuseppe Sinopoli, Academy of St Martin in the Fields with Sir Neville Marriner and Murray Perrahia, Ensemble Intercontemporain with David Robertson and Pierre Boulez. After Andrea Penna joined it in 2002, Studio Cogliolo has extended its activity to the vocal sphere, finding out and promoting the most promising young international singers.
Ornella Cogliolo has been, from its very beginning, a member of the European Association of Musicians’ Representatives and later, from its foundation, of the corresponding Italian Association, ARIACS.
